At some point, they started trying to tell us that dinosaurs were actually birds. Yeah, right. Some nerdy scientist is trying to tell you that your adorable little pet parakeet used to be a big bad T. Rex? No way.

Aside from parakeets, though, there are some big, scary birds on our planet that’ll make you think the whole “birds are dinosaurs” thing isn’t so far-fetched after all. I could definitely imagine a couple of these birds chasing me through the jungle. Check out these pics, and cower in fear of the day when birds take their rightful place as apex predator once more.
